The name 1800
“The name 1800 is inspired by my great-grandmother Mitzi and her life during the 19th century , the time before she moved to Sweden. She lived in Vienna during its cultural heyday, a city marked by names like the painter Gustav Klimt and the architect Otto Wagner. In my imagination, her life there became a symbol of a place where anything is possible, where ideas about art and structure are challenged, and where new unknown possibilities grow . Just like in 1920s Paris. For 1800 Hosiery's design, I draw inspiration from art, architecture and geometry . ”
- Ingrid Clara Renhuldt, Founder 1800 Hosiery
